Description – Ipriflavone (IP) is a synthetic derivative of naturally occurring isoflavone, manufactured from daidzein.It has been shown to inhibit osteoclast formation without suppressing the rate of bone formation.
Application – Ipriflavone promotes incorporation of calcium into the bone and inhibits bone breakdown, thereby preventing and reversing osteoporosis. It is used to inhibit bone resorption, maintain bone density and to prevent osteoporosis in postmenopausal women.
