Citalopram hydrobromide is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) API used in the treatment of central nervous system disorders. Supplied as a white to almost white crystalline powder, citalopram hydrobromide is used in formulations primarily indicated for major depressive disorder and certain anxiety-related conditions including panic disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder. The API is packed in double LDPE polybags placed in fibre or HDPE drums to ensure protection from light and moisture.
